1. Do you cater for allergies?

Yes, I do gluten, dairy and egg free cakes. Please note that nuts are used in my kitchen and although great care is taken, I cannot guarantee nut free.

  1. Do you hold a food hygiene certificate?

Yes, I currently have a food hygiene rating of 5

  1. How much notice do you need to make a cake?

As much as possible! I do get very busy and booked up in advance, however I hate letting people down so will usually try and help in some way if I can with those last minute orders. The more notice will ensure that we can plan for something special.

  1. How big do I need my cake?

This all depends on how big your slices are! Wedding cake slices are often smaller for example. If you can give me an idea of roughly how many people your cake needs to feed, I can guide you accordingly. This will usually depend on whether the cake is the main desert of as an added extra treat for your occasion.

  1. How long will my cake keep for after it’s cut?

I don’t bake too far in advance to maximise the shelf life of cakes but please note, I do not use preservatives therefore the maximum shelf life is usually up to 5 days after your cake has been cut. Carrot cake will keep for up to a week and fruit cake, if wrapped and stored correctly can be kept for over a year!

  1. Can I freeze my cake?

Yes, I do not freeze my cakes prior to them being decorated. Please note that sugar flowers and decorations should not be frozen as they will be effected by moisture.

  1. How should I store my cake?

Store in a cool dry place, away from damp conditions. You should not store your cake in a fridge.

  1. Do you require a deposit?

A £50 deposit is required to secure the date for wedding cakes (designs can be decided later on if necessary). A 20% deposit is required for all other bookings and for late bookings on all cakes, full payment is required up front.

  1. How do I arrange collection?
