I like to think that I am 'doing my bit' for the Environment. Cake making and decorating seems to come with a lot of packaging and electricity!
As a family we recylce as much as we can and around 30% of the items we recycle come from me! Items such as plastic bags and boxes for icing and marzipan, foil, greese proof paper and most of my ingredients wrappings and paper bags are all recycled.
If you can't make use of your cake box then they can be placed in your recycle bins for collection. Cake boards, once wiped clean and foil removed can be recycled with all other card board products at the local amenity tip.
As for the cake? Just make sure you eat it all!!!
