A date cannot be confirmed or order secured until the necessary deposit has been paid.
The required deposit amount is:
For orders up to £80 = £20
For orders between £80-£150 = £30
For orders over £150 = £50 – £100
The number of orders taken on any one date depends on the design/s and work involved. Should you wish to amend your design, please give one months notice. Please note that due to other order commitments, it may not always be possible to amend the design of a cake.
Should you wish to amend the flavour of a cake, please allow 1 week’s notice with the exception of fruit cake where 1 months notice is required.
Should you need to cancel your order, it may not be possible to refund a deposit. Deposits will be refunded up to 4 weeks prior to the order date, thereafter, your deposit will be held and refunded should a replacement order be placed by another party to the same value as your original order.
If you wish to amend the date that your cake is needed, it is not guaranteed that your required date will be available and therefore the above refund policy applies.
If it becomes necessary for you to cancel your cake with no refund, deposits will be carried over for future orders.
All cancellations must be made in writing by email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Final payment for your cake is due on collection by cash or card. If you are wanting to pay on line, please do so prior to collection using your name as the reference. All deliveries require full payment 3 days before delivery.
Wedding cakes – full final payment is due 2 weeks before the wedding date.
Please note that cakes and their decorations are often delicate and fragile and we cannot be liable for any damage incurred once the cake has left the premises. I will however endeavour to resolve any issues.
Transporting your cake & Storage.
It is recommended that you travel with your cake flat in the boot of a car or foot well. Do not store your cake in the fridge as this can damage any decorations and icing and will alter the taste of the cake.
Non Edible Items
Most cakes include some non edible items such as ribbons, cocktail sticks and dowels. You will be notified of any items upon collection.
Whilst every care is taken to avoid allegens when necessary, all cakes are baked and prepared in a kitchen where nuts and gluten products are regularly used. Please notify when ordering of any allergies.
